Why do some people buy French cars, which have no particular merit?

There are still people who talk about "cat feet" suspension.

What "cat feet"? It just feels wobbly.

Sounds like you've never driven one.

They look a bit cool recently, but 10 years ago they were hideous.

Isn't it about the interior space?

Japanese cars win completely in that regard.

Compact and high performance, it's good. They have a lot of cars in the hot hatch category, like in Japan.

German hot hatches of the same class are superior in every way. They don't have the Italian flair either.

AMG, RS, M—normal people can't afford those. If you can afford that class, you wouldn't choose a hot hatch. In that sense, GTI or Renault Sport are affordable and high performance, even though they're FF.

Stop saying "yan yan," it's gross. Just buy a GR Yaris.

Old Peugeots were cool.

I've never driven a Peugeot, but an old Citroën I drove had a unique ride. No idea about the new ones.

I don't get why people buy foreign cars. They're prone to breaking, parts and labor are expensive, and fuel economy is bad.
21: anonymous 2024/05/21 20:14:20 ID:KzVuQ/u90
Also, they have pure manual transmissions, so people who like classic driving can choose them.

Renault Kangoo is a big player.

Their straight-line stability is legit.

I don't know if it's called a Megane or whatever, but it just looks like "megane" (glasses) to me, so lame.

France is strong in the hot hatch category.
33: anonymous 2024/05/21 20:24:40 ID:5eYO3Stqd
Isn't Citroën's design too weird?

It's lame as a car, but if you think of it as a sneaker, it's acceptable.

France is just riding on the style and flair of Italy.
40: anonymous 2024/05/21 20:33:30 ID:/06wwcBj0
People who buy DS Automobiles are just contrarians. I get not wanting German or Japanese luxury cars, but at least keep your contrarianism to Jaguar or Maserati. Going beyond that is just creepy.

The suspension is as soft as a Corolla 2.

That's where the passion comes in.
