A truly empty metaverse called "Plattobus" where you can't do anything.
Even though it has a mic function, you're not allowed to talk using it. There are various restrictions.

I wrote about it in this week's "Shukan Shincho", but do you know about "Plattobus"? It's a metaverse started by the government. If you had a bad feeling about the "~" in the name, your intuition is correct. It's an unbelievably terrible service.
I was so shocked that I had to write about it. This April, the Act on the Promotion of Measures to Prevent Loneliness and Isolation was enacted.
And May has been designated as the month to strengthen measures to prevent loneliness and isolation. So, what did the Cabinet Office start? "Plattobus". If you've read this far, you might as well check it out, Plattobus. You'll be surprised.
The screen looks like an old RPG, but what's really shocking is that "communication between users" is "prohibited". As soon as you log in, an avatar named "Security Person" approaches you and tells you to go into silent mode. They are constantly watching to make sure users don't talk to each other.
By the way, even without the monitoring, there are usually only a few users logged in besides the "Security Person".
OK, so if you can't communicate with other users, what can you do? Games maybe? You can't do anything. The most you can do is jump to the government's website (which is no longer a metaverse).
You really can't do anything. I don't think there's a more lonely metaverse in the world. I'm genuinely worried about the people who started this as the highlight of the month to strengthen measures to prevent loneliness and isolation. There are countless other things that should be done.
Also, it's laughable that the opening hours are only from 10 AM to 6 PM in May. Probably because the "Security Person" is a human. There are likely more people running it at all times. They're probably wasting tax money on ads too.
The fact that the national output for something meaningful like measures to prevent loneliness and isolation is "Plattobus" makes me want to hold my head in my hands.

Amazing... There are so many requests like no communication allowed...

What does that even mean, lol
When I went to the security room to report something, I was taken to a Zoom meeting room, lol
What is this dystopiaverse https://t.co/ntjIE8ipDm pic.twitter.com/6KQqJMu9He

Isn't it too cruel to kick out people who came to a shared space while claiming it's for loneliness and isolation measures?
30: anonymous 2024/05/28 14:35:42 ID:Znpb
I feel like the metaverse trend is dying

It's been about 3 years since the word "metaverse" started popping up, and it's still low-poly and laggy.
Zero appeal
