My desk is getting full.

2: anonymous 2024/05/23 13:59:48 ID:xxjp
No more space to put them, ngl.
3: anonymous 2024/05/23 13:59:58 ID:rX3e
All one color is cheating, dude.
6: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:00:16 ID:xxjp
>>3
The sizes are different, man.
4: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:00:03 ID:SXEh
Looks legit.
5: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:00:15 ID:rMWD
Stop arranging them so nicely, lol.
11: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:01:07 ID:qDg3
Not bad.
13: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:01:25 ID:Tfq9
How fast can you solve them?
15: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:02:01 ID:xxjp
>>13
I don't do speedcubing. Just the regular 3x3 in about 1 minute 10 seconds.
16: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:02:38 ID:xxjp
Anyone else into this?
17: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:03:13 ID:xxjp
BTW, the red one in the front has glitter. Looks cool.
18: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:03:49 ID:jP8a
19: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:04:10 ID:xxjp
>>18
This person is famous.
20: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:04:57 ID:xxjp
If you're buying a Rubik's Cube, get a competition one for around 3000 yen on Amazon. Way easier to turn than the regular ones.

21: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:06:29 ID:xxjp
There's a method now to solve it in one move. Haven't looked into it though.
22: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:08:40 ID:I3rn
23: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:09:18 ID:xxjp
>>22
Using a super hard-to-turn one, lol.
24: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:09:40 ID:hlMD
If it's not a competition one, it falls apart easily.
25: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:10:40 ID:xxjp
>>24
Isn't it the opposite? Competition ones pop more easily.
29: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:13:38 ID:hlMD
>>25
I mean they break. Non-competition ones can't be fixed if they break.
31: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:14:41 ID:xxjp
>>29
Wow... too strong, or is it a 100-yen store one?
28: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:12:19 ID:xxjp
If you memorize and practice, anyone can get under 30 seconds. Haven't gone that far though.
33: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:16:20 ID:GZo3
Can you solve all the ones you bought?
36: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:18:56 ID:xxjp
>>33
I can solve them unless I forget, then I just look it up.
37: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:20:46 ID:xxjp
For beginners, I recommend Pyraminx. It's easy.

38: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:22:24 ID:hlMD
>>37
This one's too easy.
40: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:25:59 ID:xf7s
Do you have the Rubik's Cube Impossible?
41: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:26:48 ID:xxjp
>>40
Thought about buying it. But I feel like I won't be able to solve it, so I'm hesitating.
42: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:27:47 ID:xxjp
The color changes depending on the angle, that's insane. I saw it in a store and it didn't look solved even in its initial state.
43: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:29:01 ID:xf7s
If your desk is full, get a storage box or something.
44: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:29:37 ID:xxjp
>>43
Too much hassle to take them out.
49: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:32:31 ID:xxjp
The hardest one to solve is this. Takes about an hour.

51: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:33:39 ID:xf7s
>>49
Can't even imagine what it looks like when disassembled, let alone solving it.
50: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:33:04 ID:dhyi
Isn't there a cube with slightly different shades of red or something?
55: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:35:34 ID:xf7s
>>50
Carp put one out.

52: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:33:49 ID:qloB
That's amazing, lol. How can you do that?
54: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:34:52 ID:hlMD
>>52
There's a method to it. Once you memorize the patterns, it's all about how fast you can do it. It's not like you're thinking and matching on the fly.
58: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:36:04 ID:NAQE
You just memorize the solving algorithm, right? Doing math is more practical and fun.
59: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:36:46 ID:xxjp
>>58
It's a hobby. For me, it's like a slightly brainy fidget spinner.
60: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:36:56 ID:NME2
Mystery meat version.

61: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:37:21 ID:dhyi
>>60
Gross.
62: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:37:25 ID:hlMD
>>60
All the same color, lol.
65: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:39:05 ID:QuAz
Nice job solving them. Do you have more?
70: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:42:08 ID:xxjp
>>65
Mostly different variations of the 3x3. Got some unique ones like an octahedron, the eight-sided one.

73: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:43:38 ID:QuAz
>>70
Looks like a hassle to turn. Also, there's a weird-shaped six-sided one in the back, lol. That looks hard to turn too.
68: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:41:27 ID:ih12
I can solve a 3x3 too.
69: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:41:46 ID:4pEb
You probably solve them with your eyes closed and one hand, lol.
72: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:43:00 ID:xxjp
>>69
Blindfolded Rubik's Cube is too hard to memorize, haven't done it yet. Managed to do it once though.
74: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:44:06 ID:ih12
How do you do blindfolded? I get stuck at the initial cross.
76: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:45:09 ID:xxjp
>>74
You memorize the initial positions and then think of the moves to swap two points repeatedly.
77: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:45:44 ID:ih12
>>76
Sounds tedious.
78: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:46:51 ID:xxjp
>>77
You have to memorize the route for each move, so it's tough. Need to remember about 17 random characters.
79: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:48:12 ID:Iws3
>>78
Can you solve it in 17 moves?
80: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:49:59 ID:xxjp
>>79
You solve the cross and corners, so it takes about that many. Doesn't mean it gets solved in 17 moves.
81: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:51:33 ID:xxjp
It's satisfying to solve, so NanJ people should give Rubik's Cube a try.
82: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:53:56 ID:ozp6
Does the shiny one in the bottom left even function as a Rubik's Cube?
83: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:54:55 ID:xxjp
>>82
Nope. Just looks cool and shiny.
87: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:57:51 ID:5hew
I have a Rubik's Cube too, but I got bored after solving it once.
88: anonymous 2024/05/23 14:58:50 ID:xxjp
>>87
Try buying different kinds. Or you could get into speedcubing.
89: anonymous 2024/05/23 15:01:19 ID:hlMD
Not everyone can get that deeply into Rubik's Cubes.
90: anonymous 2024/05/23 15:05:19 ID:xxjp
Personally, I recommend this one. Sometimes the usual Rubik's Cube methods won't work (parity), so it keeps things interesting.

91: anonymous 2024/05/23 15:06:33 ID:728e
It took me six months to solve a 3x3 by hypothesizing and moving the Rubik's Cube in my head.
92: anonymous 2024/05/23 15:09:25 ID:xxjp
>>91
You solved it on your own? That's impressive. I don't think I could ever do that on my own.
93: anonymous 2024/05/23 15:11:55 ID:728e
>>92
Yeah. It felt like a puzzle or shogi problem, was fun.
94: anonymous 2024/05/23 15:12:14 ID:WLKu
People always think you're super good at math or something. But you just memorized the steps.
95: anonymous 2024/05/23 15:13:04 ID:xxjp
>>94
Totally. It's just a memorization game, nothing to do with intelligence.
99: anonymous 2024/05/23 15:23:29 ID:xxjp
Had fun talking about it. No one in real life does more than the 3x3. Thanks!
100: anonymous 2024/05/23 15:30:40 ID:WZG3
There are so many different kinds of Rubik's Cubes.
