A company employee from Takarazuka City, Hyogo Prefecture, Masaki Kashiwada (30), was awarded the "Nojigiku Award" by the prefecture on the 21st for his cooperation in rescuing a man in his 70s who had fallen into a drainage ditch. The one who played a key role in finding the man was his pet Shiba Inu, "Teritama" (male, 7 years old).

According to Kashiwada, around 1 a.m. on April 12th, while walking in a residential area of Anzura Minami, Takarazuka City, Teritama sensed something and started to deviate from their usual walking route. Led by his dog pulling on the leash, he went into an unlit alley. Then, he heard a faint voice saying, "Help me." He found a man trapped in a drainage ditch (1.2 meters deep, 50 centimeters wide). Although he tried to pull the man's arm to rescue him, he couldn't get him out, so he called 119 and 110, and kept talking to the man until the ambulance arrived.

The man had injured his head but was otherwise safe. He had gone outside to smoke and fell into the ditch while trying to pick up a dropped lighter, waiting for about an hour to be rescued.

What kind of world is it where you can't even smoke at home?

He's probably littering the cigarette butts anyway.
Smoke at home.
If you're going to bother others, bother your own family.

If it were a Siberian Husky, it would've fallen into the ditch too.

Just like the other day with the special fraud award, what if it was actually the dog who pushed him into the ditch? lol

If it were a drainage ditch in Okayama, he would've died.

A drainage ditch... I thought it was the 'Grand Yokozuna' again.

I thought it was a rider who got stuck in the ditch.

I want to be a drainage ditch in my next life.

That's scary, such a situation.

The person who helped him should take responsibility for this old nuisance.

What's with the name Teritama?
Dog names should be Koro or Pochi.

Teritama-kun is chubbier than I thought.
He's loved a lot.

Where's the drainage ditch? Over there?

I've fallen into one before, but if it's 50 cm wide, you really can't get out once you're stuck.
