[Occult] I Want to See a Ghost, What Should I Do?
1: anonymous 2021/10/12 04:52:27 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
It's definitely scary, but I want to see one at least once.
2: anonymous 2021/10/12 04:53:14 ID:v4T1hIe70.net
Seeing something that doesn't exist...
8: anonymous 2021/10/12 04:56:50 ID:0AJDVu+60.net

I think it's like the light of a star. You can see the stars from Earth, but the star itself might have died out billions of years ago. Yet, the light travels for thousands of light-years to reach Earth.

It's proof that you can see something that doesn't exist.

I think ghosts are like that. There's some force or simple structure that humans can't comprehend, but places known as haunted spots have the "consciousness" of people who have passed away affecting them. I think it's a type of thing that doesn't exist but can be seen.
11: anonymous 2021/10/12 04:59:30 ID:MubaRiLlp.net
>>8
If you think that way, maybe camping in a graveyard will help you see one.
13: anonymous 2021/10/12 04:59:45 ID:3xdX7Ocn0.net
>>8
I think it has something to do with quantum mechanics.
26: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:06:56 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>13
Quantum mechanics, huh? I watched a video on the double-slit experiment. It's a mysterious structure. If you look at it from an occult perspective, it's quite interesting.
6: anonymous 2021/10/12 04:55:51 ID:3xdX7Ocn0.net
>>1
Why don't you go to a famous haunted spot?

Have you ever been to one?
19: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:02:12 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>6
I went a few times when I was younger but never saw anything. I gave up eventually, but now that I'm older, I want to see a ghost again.
22: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:04:03 ID:N4FigIp/0.net
>>19
Why don't you go to a disaster site with a camera? You might capture something.
33: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:11:49 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>22
If it's through a camera, I saw some spirit photos being sold for 5000 yen for 10 pieces at a shop in Shinjuku. Most of them were probably double exposures.

I want to see it with my own eyes. I might faint, but at least I'll have the fact that I saw it.
7: anonymous 2021/10/12 04:56:50 ID:3xdX7Ocn0.net
I've never seen one, but I have a friend who would never lie, I mean, they can't lie because of their personality.

That person saw a ghost.

Or rather, they were touched by one.

So, I half believe in it.
23: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:05:01 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>7
Yeah, I think ghosts do exist. There are also ghost stories about cats and foxes. For humans, it seems that the older the era, like the Nara period, the more it fades, so there's a time lag to consider too.
9: anonymous 2021/10/12 04:57:15 ID:eFOgxmrzd.net
Well, my personal theory is that it's unnatural to think there aren't any entities with consciousness that we can't recognize.
15: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:00:32 ID:3xdX7Ocn0.net
>>9
If you think about it as beings from the 4th dimension or higher, it makes sense that we can't perceive them.

It's like how Mario in 2D can't understand us.
18: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:02:11 ID:eFOgxmrzd.net
>>15
Exactly, exactly. If 2D Mario thought, "Ghosts can't exist scientifically," it would be ridiculous. It's all up to the developer.
25: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:06:43 ID:eFOgxmrzd.net
Well, putting aside the dimensional talk,

I personally think that "clouds" might be the true identity of ghosts. No one agrees with me, though.
31: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:10:32 ID:N4FigIp/0.net
Since when have people been talking about ghosts?
55: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:23:42 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>31
It seems that there were already books and plays about ghosts in the Muromachi period. Ghost stories became entertainment in the Edo period, but before that, they were only told as regional oral traditions.
60: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:25:45 ID:N4FigIp/0.net
>>55
I think you see them because you believe in them.
34: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:12:09 ID:NHjS1SuP0.net
Personally, I think it's mold. Most stories happen in damp places or where the air is stagnant. There's even talk that Febreze or air purifiers can be used to exorcise spirits. Basically, when you catch a cold and your body is weak, the dreams you see are ghosts.
49: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:20:03 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>34
It's true that people say they see ghosts when they're tired. But since they're tired, you don't know what it really is.
53: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:22:13 ID:Zx0z7dQB0.net
>>34
If you hypothesize that ghosts are plasma, then the fact that you see them in such environments actually supports the theory. The commonality between Japanese and Western ghosts is that their heads are clearer while their extremities are vague, which aligns with the human body's structure of sending electrical signals from the brain, making it interesting.
35: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:12:13 ID:eFOgxmrzd.net
It's not scientific, but do those people who think that understand the science behind the internet or infrared communication?
37: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:13:28 ID:dv1mw3Wx0.net
It's not the kind of thing you can see just by wanting to. You have to start by wrapping your head in aluminum foil.
38: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:14:04 ID:Zx0z7dQB0.net
I don't think they act with clear intent, but it's possible they can be visible.
40: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:14:35 ID:N4FigIp/0.net
If someone who wants to see a ghost can't see one, it means they're not really feeling scared. Ghosts are hallucinations caused by fear. I'm a genius for figuring this out.
47: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:19:09 ID:Qrd2jpA20.net
Have you tried all the famous summoning rituals on 2ch?
61: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:26:14 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>47
I tried playing hide-and-seek alone once.

I waited for about an hour, but nothing happened. When I went to the bathroom, the doll was floating. Since it was my parents' house and my family was there, I didn't want to cause trouble, so I stopped.
63: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:27:50 ID:N4FigIp/0.net
>>61
While playing hide-and-seek alone, you should try other summoning rituals like Kokkuri-san.
67: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:29:43 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>63
That's intense, lol. But summoning rituals, huh? I kind of want to try them.
64: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:27:59 ID:Qrd2jpA20.net
>>61
If the doll was floating, that's a success, lol. There are several mirror-related rituals, like repeating words to your reflection or bowing and tilting your head.
71: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:31:13 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>64
Sorry, I meant it hadn't moved from its designated spot. I think there was something about floating it in the bathroom. Maybe I deliberately floated it.
76: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:34:29 ID:3xdX7Ocn0.net
>>71
So it was a doll, not a human, lol.
81: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:36:11 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>76
My typo, lol. If a human was floating, that would definitely be a ghost!!!
82: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:37:00 ID:3xdX7Ocn0.net
>>81
I got chills when I read that, lol.
95: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:46:23 ID:Qrd2jpA20.net
Try the mirror ritual. I'm interested, so I want you to live stream it.
101: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:50:06 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>95
I think the one where you keep saying "Who are you?" was an experiment by the Nazis. It was meant to destroy personalities.

What's the one where you bow and tilt your head? I haven't heard of it.
113: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:55:17 ID:Qrd2jpA20.net
>>101
The details weren't clear, but it was a realistic story. If you're interested, try it out.
48: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:19:49 ID:N4FigIp/0.net
There was one where you sprinkle salt in the four corners, right?
97: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:48:05 ID:N4FigIp/0.net
It's still a bit dark, so after you drink ghost water, play hide-and-seek alone, and during that, do Kokkuri-san.
106: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:52:37 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>97
Triple combo, lol.

But hide-and-seek alone, huh? I live in a one-room, 4.5-tatami forced minimalist apartment, so there's no place to hide.
112: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:55:04 ID:N4FigIp/0.net
>>106
What happens if you don't hide in hide-and-seek alone?
122: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:02:07 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>112
The thrill of hide-and-seek alone is that strange phenomena happen while you're hiding. So you leave the TV on or play the radio and hide.

Then you get scared by those electrical appliances or knocking sounds—that's hide-and-seek alone.

So if you choose not to hide,

Ah, in a way, it means you're trying to see a ghost.
128: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:06:02 ID:7nFO49VZa.net
>>112
Gotcha.
79: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:34:55 ID:eFOgxmrzd.net
Isn't it possible that imaginary friends or Tulpas are the real identities of ghosts, considering some people actually see them in their vision?
80: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:35:47 ID:yAGx7SR80.net
If you want to see a clear ghost, why not go on a trip to Okinawa? They often say you can see soldiers there. If that's difficult, as someone mentioned earlier, try camping in a graveyard. If there's a ghost there, they'll greet you properly.
85: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:38:53 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>80
Hmm, I think going to haunted spots to see ghosts is correct, but as someone said, you see them when you're tired or weak.

However, as another comment mentioned, you can see them because of fear. I think that's also correct.

What exactly is fear, anyway?
84: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:38:45 ID:N4FigIp/0.net
Close your eyes for about 10 minutes at a haunted spot. You'll feel something coming.
88: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:40:19 ID:2grwTS61M.net
Why don't ghosts or monsters have forms that deviate from human imagination? Because they only exist in the human mind.
89: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:40:43 ID:N4FigIp/0.net
>>88
That sounds plausible.
102: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:50:13 ID:3xdX7Ocn0.net
>>88
Aren't dragons or kappa fairly deviant?

One-eyed goblins, giant skeletons, or look-up monsters are kind of lame, though.
107: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:52:43 ID:3xdX7Ocn0.net
People who can see ghosts say they can instantly tell just by looking at them.

They say ghosts have no vitality at all. When you walk through the city, everyone has some sort of expression.

Busy, annoyed, tired, happy, hot.

But ghosts apparently have no expression. They have a face that humans can't make, showing no thoughts or feelings.
117: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:59:26 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>107
That's an interesting story.

A face that humans can't make...
120: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:00:48 ID:3xdX7Ocn0.net
>>117
Sorry, that was my imagination.
133: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:08:28 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>120
No, you might not be entirely wrong. I have a hobby of reading aloud, and there's a story about faces. When you get tired, you start seeing only four types of faces. Type A is the majority, and then B, C, and D are less common, with D being almost never seen.

So where do you see type D? The answer is in the bathtub, standing in the bathroom.

It's not a human face at all. And you can't draw these four types of faces. You don't know why, but you can't draw or imagine them. They are faces with no gender distinction.

And eventually, the person who saw them leaves a mysterious note and disappears.
123: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:02:26 ID:2grwTS61M.net
>>107
The contradiction of having no expression but leaving an impression.
126: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:04:45 ID:3xdX7Ocn0.net
>>123
There's a "no expression" expression.
127: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:05:07 ID:2grwTS61M.net
>>126
So, there is an expression.
132: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:08:20 ID:3xdX7Ocn0.net
>>127
A non-expression, yes.
138: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:11:57 ID:2grwTS61M.net
>>132
In other words, a blank face.
143: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:14:32 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>138
Stop saying things that ruin the mood, lol. It's the occult, so it's fine.
144: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:15:25 ID:2grwTS61M.net
>>143
The one ruining the mood is the "no expression" part.
147: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:17:52 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>144
It's also said that it's a face humans can't make.
You can't describe what a Noppera-bo face looks like, right?
Even Noppera-bo might have slight indentations in their eyes,
they might be sweating,
they might have veins bulging on their forehead looking angry.

Expression isn't just about humans;
there are many types.
150: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:21:07 ID:2grwTS61M.net
>>147
?
But we're not talking about Noppera-bo, right?
If it's a human-shaped ghost, it can only make human expressions, right?

Sweating,
veins bulging on the forehead looking angry,

humans can do this too,
and are those even expressions?
153: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:23:31 ID:Yu4lGNOP0.net
>>150
Well, it's because they're panicking or angry.
155: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:27:12 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>150
Basically, it's when you're tired,
when you're very drunk or exhausted, you pass people on the street with indescribable expressions.
So even if you don't have specific strokes on your face,
it's normal to be tired, and it's fine to have faces that can't be described with words.

There's no contradiction.
It's a vague story that because it was memorable, there was an expression.

When you look straight ahead, how do you see sideways?
Probably blurry, right?
If you see a person's expression like that, you could say it's a non-expression.
108: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:53:01 ID:N4FigIp/0.net
Go mess up a shrine somewhere.
They say you'll get possessed.
115: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:57:53 ID:3xdX7Ocn0.net
Imagine your house with your eyes closed, enter from the front door,
and open and close all the windows in the house.
If a ghost appears in that process, then it's there.
116: anonymous 2021/10/12 05:58:39 ID:N4FigIp/0.net
>>115
That sounds like you'd trip.
121: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:02:04 ID:kA8bONvl0.net
I'm a doctor.
When you work as a university doctor, you moonlight at various hospitals,
and there are some hospitals that are said to be "dangerous".
I don't mind it for work, so I ignore it if anything happens,
but once I woke up in a pitch-dark on-call room,
and clearly felt the presence of someone standing by my bedside.
You know how you can tell there's something alive there by the way the ambient noise echoes?
It was exactly like that.
136: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:11:22 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>121
Hospitals have a lot of ghost stories, as expected.
125: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:03:44 ID:3xdX7Ocn0.net
>>121
Scary!
Gave me chills.
145: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:16:57 ID:kA8bONvl0.net
>>125
I'm basically a rationalist, so I don't believe in things I can't observe,
but that made it even scarier to feel it so clearly as a sensation.

Also, once, I was called from the neighboring building at night,
so I took the master key and moved within the hospital grounds.
After giving instructions and returning to the on-call room,
I unconsciously unlocked the shutter of the mortuary's body delivery exit.
When I opened the shutter and saw the altar, I realized, "What am I doing?"
I still don't know why I did that.
149: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:19:59 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>145
Were you tired at the time?
Were you taking any medication?
Like Tamiflu, which had side effects in the past.
152: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:23:30 ID:kA8bONvl0.net
>>149
It was a shift after a day shift,
but it was a hospital where you could just sleep, so it was super easy.
I wasn't using any medication, and I definitely don't drink alcohol on call.

I really don't understand why I bothered to unlock the shutter.
158: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:32:19 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>152
That's strange.
Sometimes you find the cause or reason when you experience such things again.
For example, if you take Route A and see a shadow at Public Phone B,
or if you saw a ghost with a bad leg, and three years later, you learn someone had an accident there and lost a leg.
146: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:17:15 ID:G1KJFftrp.net
I went to various haunted spots 20 years ago but didn't see anything.
148: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:19:12 ID:N4FigIp/0.net
So, do ghosts exist or not?
154: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:27:04 ID:zFFLi/Jva.net
Ghosts are common worldwide.
It's quite possible they exist.
185: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:50:26 ID:yUSFN1LdM.net
Something scarier than ghosts:
People who are smarter than you and ruthlessly point out your flaws.
186: anonymous 2021/10/12 06:52:43 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>185
It's a pretty common idea that humans are scarier than ghosts.
In movies, "The Black House" is far scarier than "The Ring".

Humans who behave abnormally are more real, visible, and genuinely scary.

Is Inagawa's "Living Doll" story real?
206: anonymous 2021/10/12 07:17:35 ID:0AJDVu+60.net
>>203
I listen to that story every year.
It's really interesting.

But every time I hear it, I think, despite everyone involved being affected

,
Inagawa alone is unscathed, which is scary in itself.
211: anonymous 2021/10/12 07:20:29 ID:mU0f27ZYp.net
>>203
Isn't the "Living Doll" story connected to the "Kaguya Hime" tape recording story?
That recording is also creepy.
231: anonymous 2021/10/12 09:14:26 ID:sjOjYBWId.net
People who frequently see unidentified things never see ghosts.
They often say they want to see ghosts to emphasize that they are normal and not overly sensitive.
225: anonymous 2021/10/12 07:41:05 ID:g4HWY+8Fr.net
Why not try being a ghost hunter?
I knew someone who did that.
